CE and Student Programs in the Amazon

Shamanism of the Amazon

In conjunction with the University of Minnesota’s Center for Spirituality and Healing, the CSM is offering a combination "student for university credit" plus "practitioner for CE credit" program in Peru. Check with your own professional CE board (pharmacist, nursing, physician, other) if you can apply yourself for this University of Minnesota 2-credit course to count as approximately 30 CE contact hours.

In this global healing course, students from interdisciplinary healthcare modalities will be offered the opportunity to participate along with a group of interdisciplinary Western healthcare professionals to study various aspects of healing in the Amazon rainforest.

Participants will study with a rainforest shaman to learn about indigenous healing practices. We also visit various other shamans and healers while in the rainforest to learn about the many aspects of these traditions.

This 2-credit (approx. 30 CE credits) course will be taught by Connie Grauds, RPh, MNPA.

University of Minnesota and non-University of Minnesota students, health care professionals and adult learners may apply.
